Everything is in bloom!
Here are some new images of what has been going on in the garden this week!
The White Dicentra (Bleeding Heart) in the front yard is still going strong!
Likewise, we have more Pansies than you can shake a stick at!
Which has inspired us to harvest their beautiful petals and dry them for bath and tea products!
The sweet scents of Lilacs are already perfuming the air--a month earlier than usual!
Lavender flowers are still tight in their buds, but soon will unfurl all at once!
The Tulips are the this month's crowning glory!
I never tire of seeing them!
Meanwhile, our Spring Vegetables are going strong:
"French Breakfast" Radish are delicious and ready for the taking!
While Red Chard and Spinach show off their deep colours.

Such lovely blooms! Between you and Catherine (A Gardener in Progress) I am green with envy at your beautiful bleeding hearts! May need to think about adding a plant next year :) Any advice on Sweet Pea's and Swiss Chard? I'm just diving into a veggie garden this year and have not had luck with either of those two.
Thank you for the nice compliments, Jenni! I love Bleeding Hearts so much, a lot of bang for the buck and they are no fuss, for certain. :)
Swiss Chard is very easy to grow from seed and we usually start ours in January inside of our greenhouse. Hotter weather makes it bolt, so if you want to sow it I'd suggest sooner than later!
Sweet Peas like cooler weather also. We usually direct-sow our peas in January once the frost no longer hardens the soil completely. We usually see evidence of them in February, though if it is a particularly wet winter, the seeds sometimes turn to mush.
This is where I'd recommend starts if you keep having problems.
I hope this helps! :)
Beautiful flowers and nice to harvest your own food!
Thank you! :)
Your bleeding hearts are so wonderful. Love your lilacs also. You are blessed with your bounty of flowers and veggies.

What a great collection of tulips! I just love the red ones in the pictures below the lavender. Lilacs are blooming here too, although mine isn't quite open. I can't wait to smell them. What a great idea with the Pansy petals. Ours have been doing great all winter and are still going strong.
What a beautiful white bleeding heart. I took some pics of my pink hearts today, but I've never seen the white ones. Gorgeous!
Thanks everyone for the great compliments. I love the white bleeding hearts a lot, but I wish they lasted longer!
